Our Standards

1

Principles

Our editorial decisions follow three principles that do not change between articles. First, independence from the operator: Degenden's affiliate agreement with the brand pays only on referrals that become funded accounts; it does not pay more if the review is positive and does not pay less if the review flags problems. The commercial relationship is disclosed on this page and in the footer of every page on the site. Second, verifiable facts over marketing claims: every bonus percentage, wagering requirement, minimum deposit, withdrawal window and licence number on these pages is cross-checked against the operator's own terms page and, where relevant, against the issuing regulator's register. We publish the amount we see on the operator's live page, not the amount in the press release. Third, plain English over jargon: readers in the United Kingdom do not need a glossary to understand a bonus condition, so we write x30 wagering rather than 'playthrough requirement multiplier', and we spell out what three days means for a cardholder waiting on a withdrawal.

2

Sources

Primary sources for every page are the operator's own terms of service, bonus terms and payment-method appendices, in their current live versions. We save a dated copy of each page we cite, so that when a term changes we can show the before-and-after without relying on memory. Secondary sources include regulator registers (the UK Gambling Commission for UK operators, Curaçao Gaming Control Board and Malta Gaming Authority for offshore ones), software studio press rooms for release dates and RTP ranges, and payment-network documentation for processing-time claims. We also run our own transaction tests: for every operator we review, at least one editor opens an account, deposits a small sum, plays a short session, and requests a withdrawal, timing the result end-to-end. Those tests feed the 'withdrawal timing' row of the fact tables and are repeated whenever a page is substantively updated.

3

Fact checking

Before a page goes live it passes through a two-pair-of-eyes check: the author writes the draft and the second editor named on the About Us page re-verifies every number, every operator claim and every outbound link against the primary source. Any claim we cannot source to the operator's own live page or a named regulator is removed before publication — placeholder figures, 'industry average' numbers and generic ranges are not acceptable because readers use these pages to make a budget decision. When the operator updates a bonus or a payment term after we publish, the correction is reflected in two places: inside the body text, and in a short dated note under the heading of the affected section. Pages that have not been re-checked within six months are flagged in our internal queue and either refreshed or taken down.

4

Complaints about content

If you spot an error — a figure that no longer matches the operator's page, a payment method we described incorrectly, a broken link or a factual claim you believe is wrong — write to editorial@degenden.org with the URL and a short description. We acknowledge every message within two working days and publish the corrected text within three. Where the correction is material (a bonus figure, a licence detail, a withdrawal window), a dated note under the affected heading records what changed and when. Complaints that cannot be substantiated — for example, requests to remove a legitimate but unfavourable observation about the operator — are declined, with a reasoned reply. For disputes that originate at the operator rather than on our pages, see the Dispute Resolution page.

5

Update cycle

Operator pages do not stand still: welcome bonuses rotate, wagering requirements tighten, new payment methods arrive and old ones disappear. Our update cycle reflects that. Trafficked pages — the home page, bonuses, deposits and withdrawals, mobile app, registration — are re-checked at least once a quarter, with a target of once every six weeks for the home page. Lower-traffic pages (promo codes, specific bonus types) are refreshed when readers flag a change or when our internal monitoring picks up a diff on the operator's terms page. Service pages such as this one are reviewed annually and whenever UK law or the operator's licensing situation changes. The last review date for each page appears below the heading, and the editorial changelog on our internal dashboard records every revision for the past 24 months.
